The company was originally known as Lokile Fuel sales and was formed in 2015 to operate fuel station concerns in the greater Pretoria. In 2016 all fuel station assets were sold to allocate funds for the deployment of a diesel depot and storage facility in Donkerhoek Pretoria. Construction of the depot started in 2017 and the first phase is now complete and has been commissioned.

Capital Fuel sales have negotiated an operational agreement with Reef Tankers for the provision of bulk fuel transport and delivery to our customers. This allows Capital Fuel great reach and flexibility when it comes to meeting customer commitments. In addition, Capital Fuel Sales and area specific wholesalers work together to provide a greater service offering in area where we have not yet got a service delivery depot.
